Alternate Universes

but what if we were both evil and still in love

this is that au where tohka convinces htohld to try and help mana and actively works with tempered!mana hoping to find a way to untemper her and things get Bad TM

war crimes

just when you thought there could be no htohld worse than the real htohld

LIGHTWARDEN TRIAL

This is the proper design for his Sin Eater form. >>

  • A matching copy of Mana appears "summoned" at his side upon or during battle, though it's not actually her - just a construct of energy.

  • Fight would be similar to O12S - starts against H'tohld alone, and later becomes a double fight against the two of them after a phase change. A final phase has the two of them reforming into one boss again.

  • During the double phase, Mana continuously applies heavy damage bleeds, while H'tohld leans a bit more towards support and heals her if his casting isn't interrupted. Though, he does attack as well.

  • They have to be downed around the same time or the other begins a cast that revives them at full health.

  • During some attacks, Mana form changes into a white and gold dragon, during which she's invulnerable. Her buster is an Akh Morn stack the party has to share with the tank.

  • H'tohld switches between ranged and melee fighting, and is invulnerable while ranged. His tank buster is a red mage-esque melee combo.

but what if he was a milf

that one time i said okay there can be a happy ending

something something you can save tempered people in canon now
although they do mention that people that were physically altered are usually too far gone and mana did kinda grow wings but who cares

Viret

A hot-tempered woman that worked with Mana in the path of the twelve, and was one of her closest friends. She was very very slow to warm up to H'tohld, not being entirely accepting of his and Mana's relationship during their early years as she was certain Mana deserved better. Eventually she tentatively called him a friend as well, but it was a short lived friendship. After Mana's fate at Dalamud, she returned to her earlier antagonism towards H'tohld due to his failure to cope and her own misplaced anger and grief. It quickly soured into real hatred when H'tohld left Tohka with Anslang. She gets along well with Tohka, and they tend to bond by taking potshots at H'tohld.
She blames H'tohld for what happened to Mana, and once told him she wishes he'd died instead. He agreed, which only made her more angry.

Tsumi

A young Drahn woman H'tohld met on the First.
He fears that she may be a shard of Mana's soul and avoids her.

Geiral and airi'ya

A pair of gloryhounds that joined the Path of the Twelve while it was still active a few years after H'tohld. Their similar personalities caused them to butt heads often, both vying for the spotlight. They worked with H'tohld on occasion, and individually invited themselves to his and Mana's wedding.

After the disaster of Dalamud, they both escaped with their lives and quickly quit the "hero" business. However, much to their chagrin, they ran back into each other not weeks later after both being hired at the Gold Saucer.

Geiral grew up a member of the Moks tribe in the Steppe, and was planted into the Qalli as was the custom of the Moks to sneak into other tribes. The Moks' insistence on subterfuge and hiding clashed horribly with the Qalli's emotional practice of singing as she grew up, and eventually she came to detest her own tribe and left the Steppe in search of making people appreciate her for who she is without any lies.

Airi was born a middle child in a large family of Miq'ote, and consistently struggled to get attention growing up as he was often passed over for more successful older siblings and cuter younger ones.

Kira

A young man from the Shroud that wound up becoming an extremely late blooming Padjal, much to his horror. Since he'd never even hinted at presenting as one when he was far younger, he'd been planning on being a normal person leading a normal life. Having those dreams suddenly ripped away and replaced with White Magic training and the eternal graceful life of a Padjal caused him to shrink away and lash out. He didn't know much, but he

Kira met Geiral and Airi when they came through Gridania with a traveling dancing troupe they'd been trying to get into - a few years after they were both fired from the Gold Saucer - and saw his chance to escape the strict cage he saw falling down around him. He tricked the two of them into smuggling him out of the city, and by the time they realized they'd technically stolen a Padjal from Gridania, it was far too late to turn back.

He's pants at White Magic despite being a Padjal due to lack of training, and not capable of much more than a cure or two.

INTRATOR 028

An Allagan android made for infiltration and subterfuge, capable of copying appearances.
It escaped Azys La when the Garlean Empire landed their ships there, stowing itself away in the guise of a regular soldier.
He began going by "Intra" as a name later, and eventually struggles with crises of identity and selfhood.
